I have taped the repeats of the 1st & last episodes off ITV4 when they were repeated a few weeks ago. I did try to record on the Central "rainbow moon" animation to the start of the first episode, with disastrous consequences. I had to record the central animation to the start of the programme after the programme had actually started as there wasn't enough time to add the frontcap to the start of the tape originally because the first Spitting Image on ITV4 started a few seconds after "the best of Spitting Image" had finished on ITV1. even though I wasn't born when the first episode was screened & I would have probably been in bed when the last episode was originally screened, I don't find the first episode all that funny, but the last one is REALLY funny!!!
