Been through 40 odd vhs tapes in my loft today mainly from the 80s. I've been through all of them checking to see if there are any odd episodes of things. However nothing of interest apart from a tape of I think all the interviews from the BSB Doctor Who weekend. I'm just wondering if they are of any use? Probably they are preserved in the BSB archive of they may already be used as a DVD extra or something.

There will be others more qualified to comment but as far as I am aware there’s very little left of the pre Sky takeover BSB archive so it may we’ll be of interest.

I remember seeing that!
A friend had satellite TV so I went and stayed with them for the weekend.
I wonder why I’ve never seen any of that material on DVDs, were there clearance/cost issues?

I wonder why I’ve never seen any of that material on DVDs 31 Who has appeared on the DVDs. The Three Doctors and The Curse of Fenric both featured material from the weekend.

AIUI an S-VHS source is available for the full Doctor Who weekend.
Other BSB material is however scarce and Kaleidoscope are very interested in recovering it.
