Does anyone know if further restoration work has been carried out on episodes 1 & 3? On the box I’ve noticed it says sound restoration by Mark Ayres but nothing if the picture quality has been improved from the lost in time boxset.

I'm sure someone on Roobarb's said it was just an upscale of the previous restoration. I think the picture of Troughton on the cover looks more like Salamander than the Doctor. :-)

I emailed the BBC and asked about when the North American release would be. They actually replied to me and said to look for it in July. Not sure if it’s DVD only or also digital HD as well.

That's a bit of a wait. Can't see why the BBC didn't just release it at the same time world wide. Not only would that be fairer, it would stop unauthorised access (which costs the BBC money).

Because BBC America are paying for it and BBC Studios don't want to wait forever to release them, so the international release happens quickly and North America waits until it goes out on television first.
