You're right, very remiss of me not to mention this, apologies. This Saturday at the NFT in London we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Armchair Theatre with two events: firstly at 3.20 we will screen two productions from the Sydney Newman era, introduced by Leonard White, who worked with Sydney and then later went on to helm the series. The second event (5.50pm) will consist of a screening of the EMMY awar-winning production Call Me Daddy preceded by an on-stage chat with its director (Alvin Rakoff), producer (Leonard White) and star (Judy Cornwell). We hope also to welcome other veterans of the series to these screenings. On Monday 10th July we have two other events of interest, at 6.30 we will look back at Adam Adamant Lives! with the screening of a restored episode (made for the upcoming 2Entertain dvd release) followed by an on-stage chat with stars Gerald harper and Juliet Harmer. Later at 8.45pm we will recall the Andromeda serials with a screening of the recently returned missing episode of A for Andromeda followed by an on-stage chat with director Michael hayes and star Peter Halliday. This event is to anticipate the upcoming 2Entertain release of The Andromeda Breakthrough.
