I think they may have also released an LP or something. Yes, they did. In fact, they released three LPs, at least one of which was a double album. The theme song was also released on a single, with 'The Shortnin' Bread Kwackers Stomp' on the flip-side. I think the record label was called Handkerchief, or summat like that. Going back to the C4 "100 Worst Programmes" clip: Who the hell voted for that? Or was it just Stuart Maconie trying to be clever, like when he dug out a clip of Ulf Goran's 'Play Guitar' series just so he could be sarky about it!

They did indeed put an album out in 1975. It can still be picked up for not much money (I paid a tenner for mine) and includes: Animal Kwackers Theme ; In the Summertime ; Morning Has Broken ; Goin To The Zoo ; Colour Song ; I Can Do It ; Do The Kwack ; Sugar Sugar ; Sing-A-Rainbow ; A Star Fell Down ; Eeny-Meeny-Miney-Mo ; Tiger Feet

You get an imposed list of 100 (or 50) to choose from - see the Channel 4 website. I suppose it's just a case of whatever the 'researchers' can think of. And re. the LP : was there a Rory Rory Tell Us A Story track - I seem to remember mine did (picked up at an actual live show - wow!), though I haven't found that in years, alas.

Do be sure and let us know when you know more. It's a great series, and I for one would love to see more of it. And re. the LP : was there a Rory Rory Tell Us A Story track - I seem to remember mine did (picked up at an actual live show - wow!), though I haven't found that in years, alas. Yes, the album I have, which is the first they made, has this track on it.:"Rory, Rory, tell us a story, Rory, Rory, tell it like it is." Classic stuff, it was great to hear again. There was an anecdote on another forum about a Kwackers live show where one of Rory's eyes fell out and rolled under the seat of a startled young audience member. Scary stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if that was someone who has contributed to this thread, as there isn't all that much Kwackers appreciation on this ol' net...it wasn't you was it barryhodge?

I too would be really interested in seeing the Kwackers again!
Used to love it as a kid. I saw an episode at TV Heaven at the Museum of Film and TV in Bradford when on holiday recently. I`d be interested in knowing where I can get episodes or even the one to reminisce.
I have the Kwackers Double Album which I found in the attic, which contains Do the Kwack, Shortnin Bread Kwackers and Rory Rory, tell us a story. Sadly I have no record deck so I can transfer this to CD.

I too have the Animal Kwackers Double Album! It was bought by me from a Car boot sale over five years ago for 20p! It was strange but when I picked it up and handed to the guy selling, he looked at me, looked at the record, looked again at me, looked again at the record, opened the record, closed it, turned it over, looked again at me and then took my 20p! Either he thought he was selling off an extremely rare rock record or he thought I was a complete nutter! For those of you dying to know what the album looks like I have posted pictures of it at the following: rapidshare.de/files/28860456/Album.zip.html

But alas no : I was too much of a coward at 3 or 4 to sit so close that an eye could roll under my seat. Was quite a way back. Still have cloud-edged memories though, and once wrote of it in an article on Bowie playing the same venue. Rory & Ziggy, what a team-up that could've been.
