I think I remember reading somewhere that included in the junking was hundreds of hours of Beatles film (news, interviews etc). Can anyone confirm this? And can they tell me if it is more the pre-Sgt Pepper Beatles that has gone or the latter?

One of our local commercial stations was having a junk-fest in the (early '80s?), and they had to be asked "And where else are you going to get footage of The Beatles press conference in Adelaide?" before they realised what they had...
