Author of "the itv encyclopedia of adventure"; "the encyclopedia of tv detectives", several books on the avengers & editor (iirc) of avengers fanzines "on target" & "stay tuned" Maybe then. It appears he has sold all the prints to the same person, not just the Avengers prints.

This guy has since given a more detailed response to 'Litefoot', who posted this up on Ian Levine's forum:
"Hi, thank you for your enquiry. I'm afraid I have already sold the six prints I was selling to a gentleman from Stoke who collected them earlier today. The Doctor Who episode you enquired about was a print of the second episode of a serial called 'The Dominators'. If I recall correctly, I found this at a film fair in Lincolnshire in the early 1990s although I cannot remember how much I paid for it.
The majority of my collection consists of British feature films from the 1930s to 1960s but I do have some more film prints of various TV shows, mainly from the 50s and 60s, but I am not interested in selling anything else at present. If I do decide to sell anything further I shall be sure to get in touch. I do have one other Doctor Who episode on 16mm film, this is an episode called 'Prisoners of Conciergerie' and features Billy Hartnell. I have had this print since the early 1980s and although it is perfectly playable, there are a few problems with the film and the picture quality is not so good at times. I bought this print from another collector at some point in the early 80s. I'm afraid I am not interested in offers for this print at present and have no wish to sell it.
I have owned one or two other prints of Doctor Who episodes in the past which mainly came into my hands around the early 80s. However I sold these on many years ago now.
If I do come across any other Doctor Who prints, I will be sure to let you know, although I have to say I have not encountered any in some time. Once again, thank you very much for your enquiry."
Regards, M. Mason."
He seems pretty genuine. I would love to know what the other prints of 'TV shows from the 50s and 60s' are and also what the two Who episodes were and what exactly happened to them. It's quite possible that this guy could well have been in possession of missing episodes or might still even have some missing material.

Just our luck, we find a guy who has some who prints and they are all existing episodes. I guess the search goes on.

Andy's the only guy I know to have spent almost 8 solid hours playing Lemmings and never cracked a level - but even after those 8hrs chuckling to himself like a mad child when they blow themselves up.

Just noticed this on Ian Levine's forum, 'Litefoot' got a further reply from this M. Mason last week:
"Well I e-mailed this guy earlier this week asking if he had any details on the Doctor Who episodes he used to have and I recieved this reply today:
"I do have one other 16mm print of a Dr Who episode, this is called 'Prisoners of Conciergerie' and it features Bill Hartnell. I am not especially looking to sell this print at the moment. The quality of this print is relatively poor actually - it is perfectly playable but does suffer from a number of defects so it may be of little interest to you anyway. If I do decide to sell it in the future I will let you know in any case.
I did used to own a couple of other prints of Dr Who episodes but this was probably 15 years ago or more now. If I remember correctly there was an episode called 'The War Machine' and another called 'The Moonbase'. I picked these up at film fairs in the early 80s and I remember selling them on to a collector based over on the Wirral some years later. I also remember picking up another print of Dr Who at some point which was quite seriously damaged and very quickly became virtually unplayable.
I have not come across any Dr Who film prints in recent years, there seemed to be a number appearing at film fairs and so on maybe 20 years ago but it really has been a long time since I've come across any. To be honest my interest is in vintage British cinema so I don't go out of my way to look for prints of old TV programmes nowadays. If I do come across any Dr Who prints anywhere I will be sure to let you know.
Once again, thanks for your interest."
By 'The War Machine' he obviously means The War Machines. As for The Moonbase, well this has missing episodes of course but he dosen't specify which episode he had. Very interesting, but very frustrating. Interesting to think a missing episode of The Moonbase may be out there with a private collector but I guess we'll never know."
Be interesting to know which episode of The Moonbase he had. Anyone know any film collectors on the Wirral?

on the missing page for Dr Who does an audio exist of the xmass day masterplan epiasode? I asked over on the Restoration Team website and an audio recording does indeed exist of this episode and has in fact been released on CD along with the rest of The Daleks Masterplan.

Did anyone ever find out if he actually had any Avengers episodes on 16mm ? And what titles were there ?

He had two Avengers episodes on 16mm, 'A Chorus of Frogs' and 'What the Butler Saw'. Neither are missing. He sold them anyway.
