It looks like this show, which will be presented at the BFI on 13 April, is the "Liverpool" find that Philip Morris mentioned in a newspaper article a few weeks ago. For ticket information and a brief summary of the programme, click here. If anyone knows where this was found, please say! |

Looks like some strong chroma dots on the picture on the BFI site there, but I expect it won't be restored.

It's part of the Radio Times/BFI Festival and it's going to be a VERY special event. The film was returned to the BBC Archive last year. I did the prep work to get it ready for transfer and yes, there is a fine chroma dot structure on the print. I have decoded some test frames successfully but it will only be colour recovered if and when there is a budget and good reason to do it. Paul |

Philip will be appearing on Breakfast this morning anywhere from 8.50am, along with members of 'The Scaffold' and hopefully some colour recovered (but unrestored) extracts. Do watch!

Paul What is a ballpark budget figure for colour restoration ? that would be interesting to know, as somebody may contemplate a contribution if they knew and not as much as they expected. Any idea where this came from? obviously the height of their fame late 68 early 69 |
