Anyone know anything about the show "Smuggler" from 1981 (HTV)? I assume that since it was produced so late, it all still exists?

Thanks! There were 13 shows made, and there are 12 shows listed, so I guess they're all present and accounted for...
I have "The Right Price" (1&2) and "Respectable Traitor" (1&2) on 16mm film and wanted to make sure they were safe before I listed the prints for sale..

If you live in the USA I can't think why you'd be bothered. There can't be lots of Brits helping out the UCLA. What are you getting out of it?

I think he means that you live abroad and you'd think you would be more interested in helping UCLA or an American archive than bothering with UK stuff. It's not as if you are getting payment for it. The satisfaction value isn't much either as you are just adding to piles of material than never gets or will get seen.

First off, there are very few missing US shows out there (relative to British). I've never run across anything missing that was made this side of the atlantic (besides a silent comedy from the 19 teens, that no one cares about. Next - why shouldn't I help out the BBC (etc) ? They produce a lot of programming that I enjoy, and it's no big deal for me to loan them a few film prints if they need to make a copy. As for whether anyone will see them -- that's up to the rights holders -- if they want to release the stuff, they will... If everyone thought the way you did, we would never have seen "Day of Armageddon", The recently recovered Avengers episode, and many others. What would you rather see? Copies of missing material be stored safely in the archive where it *could* eventually be released, or sitting solely in some private collection were it would never see the light of day?

Hey Guys, as you stated Kane " addding to piles". I would rather see material added to piles of film in the BBC archive versus piles being burnt or thrown away. Which is what happened to many prints that were thought lost, and some of which Steven recovered. Who cares what country or nation you live in. If you live in the UK, do not tell me that there are not people who have watched episodes of Star Trek, Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith Show, Simpsons, King of The Hill, Grays Anatomy, Sopranos, the list goes on and on. We are all here for the same reasons, to locate and preserve slices of UK television. Steven has actively done that, have you yet recovered any missing uk tv episodes ? If you have not, then it seems that your accusations are misplaced. Let's all work here for a common goal, of all nationalities, to locate and preserve missing uk material.
Lance.

Grays Anatomy? Sounds a bit too close to the bone.
