While looking through some old newpapers a while ago, I came across an article reporting an actress dying in a road accident on 20th September 1966. She was described as the "darling" of British TV in the 50s. This got my curiosity up. I always get a little sad when someone described thus dies at a relatively early age - it's a tragedy! But I'd never heard of her. Her name - Mary MacKenzie. Her filmography is at www.imdb.com/name/nm0533367/Has anyone here heard of her or remember her? And, more importantly, can anyone get hold of one single image of her? I'm curious to see what this "darling" looked like. Looking at the filmography list (which is mainly TV appearances), is there any footage of these shows existing that we can see some capture of her?

It says "denial". I think the last time I searched for her image, which was admittedly a while ago, nothing showed up.

Hmmm...the "Darling" of the TV industry eh? Well, I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but if the one or two pictures I saw in the google are anything to go by (assuming THAT actually is her) then I would have to say that she just isn't my type.
Well, so much for THAT bit of research...
