I am totally ignorant about rediffusion material, far before my time. Is this something you are in possession of? If so can anyone recomend an authority on these matters?

Chances are it doesn't exist officially, bearing in mind that most of the Rediffusion library is AWOL. Sounds interesting.

Much of the Re-fusion lib is in the BFI!!!!!! "Much" is a debatable/relative term. Most of what does survive is held at the BFI ... this remains a small percentage of the total though.

Less than 5% of everything made by Redifussion ... considerably less than that if continuity and such ephemera are included alongside the programmes themselves For drama, comedy especially the details are in the relevant Kaleidoscope Guides. www.kalpublish.org.ukI'd suggest contacting the BFI regarding any specific programme enquiry .. they should be able to confirm if they hold it of behalf of the rights holders (Archbuild/Pallan) .. but the odds say they probably won't.

Where does your 5% figure come from?

An odd coincendence that the piece in question is nearly exactly 40 years old! Nature has a sense of symetry!

That's why I came here asking in the first place, it wasn't a trick question. Anyway thanks for the advice all.
