Perhaps if the e-Bay link hadn't been 'publicised' both here and over on other forums...

Is there any way the winner can be contacted to see if he will loan his film out to be copied ? A task for the Restoration Team.
Lance.

Lance, as 6 people have given it a rating on IMDB then I would suspect that it still exists. The seller claims it is rare (which is a much overused word on EBAY). It might well be rare though certainly does not point towards it being a missing film.

Lance compared to TV the amount of lost feature films since WW2 is negligable ..you could possibly count on your fingers? So these are not really a problem .
However here are three strays you can keep a look out for Mystery Junction. Merton Park's first post war feature
A Weekend With Lulu (legend has it, that Bob Monkhouse hated it so much he bought up all the prints)
Fairwell Performance (anything at all ! that involved the pop producer Joe Meek is shrouded in mystery and suspense)

Ain't that the truth! The producers of the "Arena" documentary on Meek tried to track down a copy, but it's long gone- even the director had no idea of where it could be. I've got vague memories of the film showing up on daytime TV in the seventies- anyone else?
Equally elusive is the (Meek Connected) short, "The Johnny Leyton Touch"- has this one crossed anyone's radar?

Interesting you mention that , but years ago on the Clive James show (where he use to show clips to be ridiculed like Edward D Wood jrn) there was this crackpot robot film , he never mentioned what it was, (coz he may not have knew) but the track was "robot" by the Tornadoes and me thinks this is what Meek had filmed for an experimental French 'video' jukebox called a Scopitone scopitones.blogs.com/scopitonescom/whats_a_scopitone/index.html Iit obviously pre dates pop videos by years. These 16mm Scopitone films do pop up from time to time with bands of the day on . French film stock was not that good color wise in those days, but Scopitone films from other countries apparently still look good.
