Ladies, Gents and others,
This week, a previously missing 16mm print of a 'Hugh and I' was returned to the BBC archive in Perivale. The film, in good condition is 'The Girl on the Poster' TX: 17/04/1964.
Hugh and I is only averagely represented in the BBC archive, so it's great that it has been returned. The film was spotted on the shelf of film collector Terry Burnett by BBC producer Richard Latto who checked to see if if was a lost programme. If you recall, Terry was the film collector who returned two 'Doctor Who' films to the BBC back in 2011.
So it's a big thank you to Terry. Fingers crossed this will get a DVD release of some sort in the near future.
Regards,
Paul

Good grief! Right there on the shelf. Has he got a loft?
Many thanks to both of them. Shame the DVD set's out. Maybe an upgrade someday?
Frank Williams, Molly Sugden, Jack Haig, and Pratricia Hayes are in this episode.

Any chance of a stock take of Terrys collection.? I met him at the BFI in 2011, lovely fellow and he was genuinely pleased he had saved those Dr Who eps Terry is a very generous guy and I was meant to go down and see him and view the said film before its return. Sadly he was unwell, but I shall rearrange when he's better. Film collectors are salt of the earth, generous people in my experience. They are responsible, one way or the other for some of the most high profile recoveries of lost TV material. Some are also quite private, so the last thing I would do is attempt to make any kind of inventory of their collections. Terry is quite open about what he has and I think this one has just slipped through the net. Paul
