Rotherham: Three Girls - what a superb documentary series. This is the BBC at its very best. A project that the producers and actors fought to make; when others would have liked to have swept it under the proverbial carpet - including the police. And what superb acting. All kudos goes to the three girls and to the social worker and the actors playing them for exposing this abuse. Yet the abuse depicted is all too common throughout the Western World. Let this series be a wake-up call. It deserves the widest of exposures. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08rgd5nwww.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b08r8pvh/three-girls-series-1-episode-1SB

I haven't watched it, Stephen, but I'll have to give it a go. I can still remember the impact of Cathy Come Home in the '60s, and it would be wonderful if someone would take on social services in the same way. I'm boggled that the BBC has made this series, which is listed as a 'drama', and I'm still concerned that there'll be some coping out.
