Sad news, I hadn't heard he was ill even.
Some other "missing" material was from I, Claudius, where John hurt played Caligula.
The end of one episode was supposedly edited after it's original screening & believed to be lost.

Caligula wouldn't have been in the deleted footage, at least not the scene deleted after first broadcast. That may still turn up on N1500 one day; it's the kind of thing that people or schools might have recorded to keep. |
