Not content with deleting / wiping episodes of long loved t.v. and radio series - the BBC has not yet learnt its lesson. Despite wasting thousands of pounds (millions?) of licence fee payers' hard-earned with the promotion of offensive religious-based reality shows (know what which ones I mean?) recently it has tried to save a few measly pounds in wiping 172 websites from its servers. Luckily an ex-BBC engineer (allegedly) has spidered the Beeb's websites and archived them all in a matter of 24 hours or so. These are described here www.wired.co.uk/article/bbc-torrent-archive-websites(Moderators - please ignore the 'banned' word in the URL link - this subject is too important to ignore)

This is an article from 11th February 2011 and is interesting none the less. Unfortunately, some of the links in the article are dead now. For some of the old BBC websites like Cult, I like to use the WayBack Machine to access what remains eg. -> wayback.archive.org/web/20050301034314/http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/Would still like to be able to see what he had archived though.
