Many of us like to arrange our DW DVDs in transmission order, with sometimes strict rules. Does Shada go between Horns of Nimon and the Leisure Hive or stay in its Legacy box set? Does Scream of Shalka go right at the end of everything else or between Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston?
But my big question is where do you place the Lost in Time boxset? So many orphan episodes without a proper home! Vote below...

I have it between The Tenth Planet and The Underwater Menace. (Power of the Daleks soon to be taking its place whenever it is released on bluray)

Presumably in the bin or to a charity shop as I am regularly told that everything has been returned complete, with the exception of DMP.

I keep my DVDs in original broadcast order on the shelf but in this case I made an "exception to policy" and it sits some where in the middle of the HArtnell - Troughon collection. Fortunately for those who want to worry about such things parts of that collection are now redundant

On my shelf, its sandwiched between the Peter Cushing movies on DVD and K9 and Company! Very roughly in year order. The movies are 1965-66, Lost in Time is 1965-69 and K9 is 1981.

I have mine between Hartnell and Troughton because it contains both.

It goes after The War Games as a footnote to the 1960s. Placing it between The Tenth Planet and The Power of the Daleks is perverse as they're consecutive stories.

I've currently got it between Hartnell and Troughton on the theory that it contains both.
Over the last month or so I've started watching all the Hartnell and Troughton episodes from start to finish in transmission order. It's a bit of a pain to constantly go back to the Lost In Time set for the orphans! I haven't bothered with the reconstructions too much - although I finally watched the Myth Makers one and thoroughly enjoyed the story.

I can understand the reasons for all of the options except "Before Unearthly Child"... Surely nothing should go before that?

The best option is surely to assign a number to each of the episodes on the set,so that one can discover the date of the central episode,in tx terms in the box. This determines the position of the box on the shelf.
This is assuming that the DVDs are stored roughly two-dimensionly,in a row.If you use a three- or more dimension storage system, you'll have to work it out for yourselves!

I thought I put mine after The War Games, but upon checking just now, I have discovered it was after Survival. I think it's because I always put the "vanilla" releases together and specials like box sets and compliations seperate. Those two places is where I've put it in the past. Does anybody on here have the limited edition Three Doctors dvd box with the model Bessie car? I had to order that from The Who Shop as I could not find it in any shops. (Well I found one in an MVC afterwards when it was too late).
