I know this is slightly off-topic because as far as I know, they alll exist.
Does anyone know how the first series of Dave Allen At Large (1971) appears to have escaped the mass junkings of the 70's?
Were they ever missing from the BBC archives?
Are any of the other series he did for the BBC missing or incomplete?
Lastly, does anyone know if Network or some other company have plans to release any of his complete programmes (as opposed to compilations)?
Peter

I would like to see the other series repeated too. I only have the 1993 ITV series on less than perfect VHS copies. The quality of the 1971 tapes looked pretty good. Also, the 1969 series (which I think was called The Dave Allen Show) and the 1968 specials (made in colour for BBC2) seem to have gone AWOL. Any news on those?
Cheers Mark

Peter I last saw Dave Allen at large about 1985, when it was run on GPTV. I don't know if the 1971 series was among the episodes. I'd love to see this series show up on DVD here in America.

Is his Australian series(64 or 65) available or does it even exist?

Didn't know he did one for Australia. The first I knew of was Tonight With Dave Allen for ITV (1967/8). I'm also interested to know why his 1970s BBC series totally escaped wiping when many other more notable ones didn't (glad it did though).

Because the 'notable' ones were possibly earlier recordings on the same tapes!
