They Were All Sown On Granada A Couple Of Years ago..I Recorded Them All..About 70 Episodes..so I Think It Was All Of them..It went right Up To Inspector Blake Living with The Butlers..Stan Had Left...And Most Storys Were Based Around Blakey & Jack.

Importantly, Network (along with most DVD producers) always adds the caveat that further releases are dependant upon the sales of the existing series release. Unfortunately, Series 1 & 2 of On the Buses had already had a release, so I'm not sure how well the Network releases have done. It must be said that the picture quality on the Network discs (which was unrestored) was no better than the older releases. We can only hope there will be further releases.

Hi , I`m having a discusion on another board regarding , the 1969 xmas episode(s)
As far as I`m aware , there was a 5 Min. ?? Special of On The Buses , shown as part of the All-Star Comedy Carnival .. 25 Dec 1969 · Thu 6pm .
Another person believes that there was also a complete 25 Min. episode shown over xmas 1969 called Xmas Duty .His info is taken from the onthebusesfancub website .
There was an episode called Xmas Duty , which was shown during series 4 on 25/12/1970 ?? , which was broadcast in b/w , due to the itv technicians strike .
Can anyone confirm or deny wether there was a full episode show during xmas 1969 ??
Also does the On The Buses special shown during 1969 xmas All-Star Comedy Carnival still exist ?? And the approx running time ( I presume that the show was broadcast in colour )
Thanks for any help given ....

There was certainly a full Xmas show in 1970, but not in 1969. Sounds like the person who you're discussing this with is somewhat confussed about their dates and the like!

Series 3 and 4 are due for release on May 25th (www.play.com £14.99).
By the way - British programmes are done by Series - not Seasons.

This may be due to the colour technicians' strike over the 1970 - 71 period. A lot of programmes made during this period reverted to B&W until the strike ended...
