Hi
I am looking for any prints or material of the 1966 Canterville Ghost drama starring Bruce Forsyth which I believe was made by ABC. I just wondered if any collectors out there may have a print, 8mm or reel to reel copy? Or know if it might exist

Hi I am looking for any prints or material of the 1966 Canterville Ghost drama starring Bruce Forsyth which I believe was made by ABC. I just wondered if any collectors out there may have a print, 8mm or reel to reel copy? Or know if it might exist Camilla Only advice is it was an entry to the ABC series 'Mystery and imagination'. Presumably film negatives were made of the whole series from the original VTs for sales purposes as two entries; 'House of usher' and 'the open door'; plus clips of others ('casting of the runes' and I think 'room 13'); have turned up either in the 90s or recently. So it's not unreasonable to suppose other prints might turn up. The problem with ABC and Rediffusion material being lost seems to relate more to the early loss of franchise; (1968); than wipings.

As far as I recall, and I'm just speaking from memory; (possibly partly erroneous); the information was posted 2 to 3 years ago on the 'mausoleum club' forum.
This described how a 9 or 10 min sequence in film TR form from 'Casting of the Runes' from series 2 had been traced.
Further information followed slightly later about more clips being traced; possibly overseas; from the second ABC series (1968). As far I I can recall the material was a clip from either 'Room 13', 'The phantom lover' or 'Camilla'. Memory insists it was 'Room 13' but the man who's likely to be able to confirm either way would be Chris perry.
