People have strong feelings about this so I would like to ask.....
Supposing a long lost recording was found that was totally unique ..only one copy in the world.
But it contained say Jimmy Savile or Rolf Harris as a guest in say a long lost Dr.Who. episode that would complete that story serial.
How would the archive community/BBC react to this ?
would they just pretend it still does not exist and make no attempt to obtain it?
would they want it back but then hide it in the archives for no one to see except a select few?
would they want it back and just ignore 'the elephant in the room' to enjoy and complete that serial?
or would they want it destroyed?
Just asking out of curiosity no political/moral point scoring intended
