I remember seeing Drive In Saturday Caravel promo as others have recalled, there's other Caravel films shown on TOTP which do exist including an odd one made for Marvin Gaye's 'Abraham Martin and John' with a teenager strolling round a mansion playing with toys and taking aims with a rifle, macabre considering the subject matter of the song, there's another one around on YT with a biker gang going round (can't recall the song)

The biker gang is for John I'm Only Dancing, which is extant in the archives. I still havnae seen the Caravel for Drive-In Saturday. If I ever do, I'll let you all know. Bowie fans, just to remind you.... the Laughing Gnome Caravel from the 500th TOTP exists and does NOT feature Bowie. I know; I have a copy (several people do.) A few Caravels have been posted online, on youtube and it would be a trifle remiss if I didnae mention that these. ....and just to reiterate, 19/04/1973 WAS broadcast.
It's just the PasB is missing....
I went to Caversham a few years ago, and I can confirm this is the case.

It's a fascinating song which grows in stature, the mystery of the missing Caravel promo only adds to it. The line 'try to get it on like once before like the video films we saw' could almost be a missing episodes theme and relate to that Caravel film itself.
