Hi all, Just discovered that on both Series 1 and Series 2 DVDs are the VTR countdown clocks for each episode, starting at about 30 seconds. I came across this by accident, when pressing 'previous chapter' at the beginning of an episode. Apparently after the announcer announces the VTR number and take number, on more than one occasion you can hear Sid James saying 'corr, that's sexy that is'. Anyone else know if there are Easter Eggs on anymore Network DVDs?
Cheers Mark

There are also countdown clocks on the Upstairs Downstairs DVDs, including someone saying "Upstairs Downstairs". Somebody mentioned the clocks on a previous thread I think....

This isn't anything new ... Network DVDs almost always have the VTR countdown clocks on all their VT based DVD releases ... that's why the programmes always "start" on chapter 2 when playing them! Either rewind or back chapter from the start to view them.
.. releases that have them include "Thriller", "Upstairs Downstairs", "Stanley Baxter", "Benny Hill" and many many more.
The new "Space 1999" release even had new ones created during the remastering work by BBC resources (the originals being on film not having these slates)

When I ordered the Box Set of George and the Dragon, I had two discs the same!! BTW, the most fascinating VTR clock on the Bless This House Series 1 DVDs is when you can hear the studio floor manager clearly say 'Don't forget, that if for some reason you can't see what's happening in any of the sets, look at the TV monitors above your head.' Fascinating! On another, you can hear the same voice say 'ok then, let's make some television.'
