Does anyone know anything about the following plays IE if they exist or not/good bad? They sound interesting but were not part of the popular umbrella titles such as Armchair Theatre.
Brunel, starring Peter Wynguarde BBC? circa 1960?
The 34th miracle, starring Patrick Mcgoohan (late fifties)
The Crossfire, starring Peter Wynguarde and Ian Hendry (mid sixties)

"The Crossfire" was made by Anglia TV and exists as a D2 dub of a 405-line VT.
Don't know of something called "Brunel" but Wyngarde played Brunel in a one-off called "Engineer Extraordinary". It was made by TWW and was a rare network foray for them. Don't believe this still exists.
The McGoohan entry you mention is, I think, called "The Third Miracle" and is a play in the four-part "English Family Robinson" mini-series broadcast as part of the BBC's "Sunday Night Theatre" in 1957. None of that is known to exist.

Thank you Simon, that was most helpful.
Yes that was the 'Brunel' I meant, and even curiouser that it was made by TWW? something they might be proud of and want to keep. I would have thought?
I had an idea ' the crossfire' might be made by 'agricultural TV ' ;D as I believe it was directed by their late great director John Jacobs?

Amazing that both Wyngarde and Hendry found time to do all this other stuff in-between major TV series of 20 or thirty episodes and even movies?
These days, actors do about 6 episodes and then have to "have a lie down "
