Awesome. Going to have to visit. Just as an aside, I love the story that the 1980's Bilko reruns were supposedly due to someone misreading a memo from senior management at the BBC to get more coverage of (Steve) Biko. Dunno if it's true but it's a great story and could have come from a plot in the show.

I remember in an early episode of Only Fools & Horses Del-boy mixes the 2 up.
I did think it was a little odd a show so old was being repeated in the late 1980s, but around that time & well into the 1990s quite a few oldies were dusted down for a rerun.

One of the senior guys in the BPSAS is a Facebook friend of mine, and I know that he and the others in the Appreciation Society have put a lot of work into this project, with the willing cooperation of Phil's family (and that's understating the case I believe). It looks to be a fabulous project and I'm all in favour. A little bit far for me to visit at the moment, but I'll probably get there one day...  |
