The BBC comes in for a lot of criticism from the forum (quite rightly in my opinion) for wiping a lot of their archive; especially for me the likes of Top of the Pops. (But) credit were credit is due, so three cheers to the BBC for the wonderful programme Timeshift: Looking for Mr Bond - 007 at the BBC which was shown on BBC Four the other night. I thoroughly enjoyed the sheer nostalgia of the clips, most of which I had never seen before.

I enjoyed it too.there was a error I noticed on the programme.a clip of roger Moore in his first ever appearance as bond on mainly Millicent from 1964 was not a BBC clip as stated as 007 on the BBC. Every clip held by them except that clip is held by ITV as mainly Millicent was a ATV production.the clip was shown on the 2006 DVD of 'live & let die' & the clip was courtesy of Carlton international which ITV now holds their archive.

So strictly speaking the Millicent Martin/Roger Moore clip should not have been shown?

Ah ha, so maybe a BBC / ITV combined Bonzo's special isn't so far fetched after all

It would be nice to have a (Bonzo's at the BBC) night but I've got a feeling that the BBC would deem that unpopulist
Anyone up for an (Eccentrics at the BBC) night? whereby you could gather together a wealth of British eccentrics from all genres?
suggestions anyone?
