Does all the Dave Allen shows survive?
Seems to be a fair whack of them, according to the current repeats!

All his BBC shows from the '70s onwards seem to exist although just about all his '60s ITV series (the ones that first brought him to popularity) appear to be missing. Sad.

I'd love to see "Dave Allen at Large" on DVD in the US. I remember it fondly when it ran on WXIA in the early 80's. GPTV showed it back in 84-85.

Where those shows he made for Carlton in the early nineties the last thing he did, apart from the links for the unique Dave Allen?

There were persistent rumours a few years back he was going to do a new series in the mould of the one he did for ITV in the early 70s where he went around talking to interesting or eccentric people (wonder if any of those are still knocking around?), but nothing seems to have come of it.
I seem to recall after the Carlton series he appeared on the Clive James Show, and there was a Radio 4 documentary that was broadcast just before he died, though I don't know if he made any new contributions to it.

Re Dave Allen shows from the 60s-as far as I know all the ATV shows titled TONIGHT WITH DAVE ALLEN exist with Granada Ventures. I think this discovery was about two years ago when the then Carlton group started properly catolouging it's ATV/ITC archive. Nothing has been said about putting out DVDs of these shows, but they would surly be good sellers, even if it is in B/w.

One for Network to look into then.

Where can we go to get to hear about these things?

Here's some more useless information.I remember in the early 70s Boston's Ch.5 advertising a Dave Allen special, and I wonder if it was one of those Grade ITC Market-British-TV-to-America things.
