IIRC for years Jon Pertwee let a fan of the series look after it.

That was a long, long time ago though. It was sold on many years back and has, to my knowledge, been living happily just south of Northampton for a good while.

I thought nobody knew who owned it though? Did the owner keep it to themselves or were they just unaware of what it was?

Unless it changed hands recently, the details of the owner were known.

So why the tweet announcing it's rediscovery? Has it just been used in something recently?

So why the tweet announcing it's rediscovery? Has it just been used in something recently? It's appearing at the Smallspace sci-fi and fantasy modelling event near Milton Keynes on 12 July. Here's a link to some photos of the reveal on the event website... Whomobile revealed!

Thanks! Looks like a brilliant and rare chance to see it up close! Sadly it's a bit far for me, though. I'm surprised it's not at the Doctor Who Experience if its whereabouts were known, but I suppose it's up to the owner, which is fair enough.

I hope it comes to the doctor who experience in the summer as I'll be visiting Wales in my holidays sometime during last week August first week of September.
