Has anything at all of Rodney Bewes' 1 series on The Basil Brush Show survived?

Nothing at all I'm afraid (unless you count a menu caption at the end of a "Blue Peter" the day before one episode...)

I am fairly certain that I saw a clip of a Rodney Bewes Basil Brush in the last 15 years. Could it have been on Telly Addicts perhaps....?

I'm starting to think either Telly Addicts had some kind of secret store of wiped VT, or perpetrated mass hypnotism to make people think they'd seen clips of things that don't exist - this, United and Gnomes of Dulwich! (Either that or they just showed stills and people imagine they've seen moving pictures). Given that there are dozens of episodes of TA, it may take me some time to view them all but one day I will prove whether these clips exist or not!!!

While you're at it, Andrew, I swear that I saw a brief clip of Doomwach: Friday's Child on the show too! I remember watching this originally in 1970 and sertain scenes are embedded in my brain. I did a double take when I saw it but it was gone almost immediately. Mary Holland was the guest in the episode and the clip I think I saw.

Well I'll probably spot anything interesting when I have a look... I'm pretty sceptical at the moment I have to say - just wondering where they would have got any of it from! (If there is some secret source, as with pop clips, it would obviously be worth pursuing).

As someone who regularly taped each edition of TELLY ADDICTS, then copied any clips of sufficient interest across to a compilation tape for each series, I can safely say that I'd be incredibly surprised if any of the above remembered "clips" are found.
