Dear all, My documentary 'Dara O Briain Meets Stephen Hawking' will be screened on Tuesday June 16th at 10.35pm BBC1. I spent January to May shooting this with Dara and Stephen and I'm extremely pleased with it. The Radio Times have given it a cover and there is also some exclusive content on the BBC website. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05zm4tzFor archive fans, there is rare archive going back to 1978 including of Stephen before he had his voice synthesiser. I hope if you watch, that you enjoy it. Regards, Paul

Thanks for the heads up on this, Paul. Just watched the clips on the programme page - fascinating stuff. Having enjoyed the Eddie Redmayne movie, it's great to be able to see some present day footage of the real Stephen.

My first memory of Stephen Hawking was on Tomorrow's World in the mid 1980s demonstating his voice synthesiser.
I'm not sure when it was, but it was pre-Brief History Of Time.

Professor Hawking is an alumnus and an Honorary Fellow of the College where I work, so I will be very interested to see this.

A very enjoyable programme, I thought, which made an effective counterpoint to the recent (very good) movie.
