Apart from Open All Hours&Prisoner&Escort, have the other 5 programmes in this series survived?Would they worth another view or a DVD release?

There were two.The Ronnie Barker Playhouse(A-R 1968)&Six Dates With Barker(LWT 1971).He also did a sketch show for LWT called Hark At Barker(1969-1970).Archive status of these shows?I haven't got a clue.

Does anyone know the archieve status of "His Lordship Entertains", which is one of my earliest memories of Ronnie Barker (early 70's I believe).
I think it co-starred Josephine Tewson.

From Kal '95...
The Ronnie Barker Playhouse (Rediffusion, 1968) Only episode 6 ("Alexander") of 6 survives, as a TR16 negative. (Episode 2 of this series, "Ah There You Are" was the first appearance of Lord Rustless, who went on to star in Hark At Barker and His Lordship Entertains.)
Hark At Barker (LWT, 1969/70) Series 1 - all 8 exist as original b/w VT Series 2 - all 7 exist as original colour VT
Six Dates With Barker (LWT, 1971) All 6 exist on original colour VT, except episode 3 ("The Odd Job") which is b/w because it got hit by the colour strike.
His Lordship Entertains (BBC, 1972) All 7 episodes junked. Naughty BBC!
Ronnie Barker was also a regular in Jimmy Edwards' BBC anthology series Seven Faces Of Jim (7 eps, 1961), Six More Faces Of Jim (6 eps, 1962) and More Faces Of Jim (6 eps, 1963). Kal '95 lists the 1961 series as all existing on TR16, and the rest lost; although I'm not sure that's entirely accurate as I've seen a lengthy clip from "The Face Of Fatherhood" which was the first episode of "Six More..." (and was an adaptation of Take It From Here's The Glums). Mr Martin, are you about to supply further info?

That's tragic - how could the BBC do such a thing.
Does any of it exist anywhere - i.e. private hands, even the Barker family themselves?

"Seven Faces of Jim" does exist complete.
"Six More Faces..." - only "Fatherhood" exists (original 35mm film recording)
"More Faces of Jim" - nothing held.

Ta!
Someone should do a Jimmy Edwards DVD - those 8 Faces episodes and the two Whack-O! survivors would make a nice little compilation.

There are three "Whacko" episodes existing actually - 21/10/58, 22/11/60 and 4/12/71. There is also an episode of "Mr John Jorrocks" from 20/8/66, and a smattering of other minor items... Certainly enough to make a DVD with extras...!
