IF you could save/find one currently missing episode of any TV show - what would it be?

This would make a good survey topic, maybe? Break it down into genre, era, production company, etc - then have respondents give a more detailed response as to the what and the why...

I think it would have to be The Road for me. A classic apocalyptic SF teleplay by Nigel Kneale, which is very well-remembered by those who watched it (I was too young). If not that, then the Beachhead episode of Out of the Unknown or PotD ep.1.

As Vaughan said, the road would be a pretty amazing thing to behold. I would opt for either the road, the creature or perhaps another episode of A for Andromeda.

A difficult one this. Perhaps episode 6 of The Faceless Ones which might tempt the powers that be to go for a partially animated release - I know there would still be three episodes missing but hey. Failing that, some stand alone Sci-Fi would be good, anything in colour from Season 3 of OOTU would be brilliant.

Lots of choices, 10th Planet part 4 would be top of my Dr Who list.
It would be great if The Prophet or Get Off My Cloud from OOTU turned up.
An Ian Hendry era Avengers would be nice, as would be a full episode of Twice a Fortnight or United!
I'm sure there are a few more I can think of.

My choice would be the last episode of series one of doomwatch "Survival Code".
Which might if found encourage a DVD release of all the surviving episodes.

If I might mangle some Rassilon a la Dicks: Much as I'd hate to be the one to have to pick which lost treasure to have back, it's a sure thing that whatever it is, it's both a terrific result AND a guarantee that somebody will say "why didn't you pick X instead, you bounder?!"...

I suppose this is half-missing. It's Steptoe & Son, Pot Black - but on the original colour videotape. The b/w telerecording could then be thrown in the rubbish! If I'm not allowed that, then The Beatles on Juke Box Jury (I had others in mind, but from reading bits about it over the years - it must have been a sight to see and I am quite a fan.) Notice how I subtly crow-barred a second one in there?

Something from 'Ace of Wands', probably the last episode of either 'Seven Serpents, Sulpher and Salt' or 'Joker' would be my choice.

The legendary 1958 episode of "Armchair Theatre", "Underground". Cast member Gareth Jones died while the play was being transmitted, resulting in the production staff having to do some pretty rapid jiggery-pokery to cover for his absence - it'd be most interesting to see how they coped...
