Lovely to see Hartnell's Christmas greeting from Feast of Steven top the bill of the new BBC Christmas indent. youtu.be/1Z_Q1YcTUZ0Now if only this was a tease for the find of the episode.

It's fantastic that they've used Hartnell's speech. If the Feast of Steven came back, I think anything could be possible!

It warmed my heart very much that the bbc used hartnells greating in their latest spot.
That being said, i Would not read anytHing further in the way of recoveries from it.
For one, the person who makes bbc commercials has no real insight into recoveries than you or I. He simply wanted to put together Christmas moments from various nostalgic shows and thought dr who should be included.
Also the destruction of feast of Steven is completely different than that of overseas prints. Therefore, if in the unlikely event someone was wise enough to make a print of it before destruction, it in no way has anything to do with the over seas film prints which is the source of most recoveries.
Still a great Christmas present from the bbc And merry Christmas

Wish I could see it, but the link apparently isn't fit for us Colonials. Putting Hartnell in the Christmas trailer is interesting, and certainly makes one think that the BBC are aware just how much interest and support there is for the 60s era and those stubbornly lost eps we all keep wanting back. That they're willing to reference more than just Who from 2005+ is jolly nice, and suggests they're very aware of what the legacy of the show is and means to so many of us, including those who made it for us in the first place. Last year we got a couple of Pat's classics back to watch and thrill to. Would sure be nice if Billy gets as lucky in 2015!

While they used the Feast of Steven audio "Happy Christmas to all of you at home.", the visuals/clip that was paired with it was from The War Machines.
