Have a look at this: www.bigchiefstudios.co.uk/store/doctor-who/sixth-scale-figures/1st-doctor-commemorative-edOff the back of An Adventure In Space And Time, I'd think a wider audience will be found for this item. Very well crafted, looks like meticulous detail, as seen in their New Series Doctor models. Given the price point, definitely not one for the sandpit at school, even if it would serve as an acceptable location to re-enact the desert featured in Marco Polo! Troughton will hopefully be forthcoming. I can imagine there will be several hats, like the tamoshanter from Highlanders and the stovepipe from Power. Big furry coat. A spacesuit from Moonbase, along with helmet. Dark glasses, head scarf, tambourine disguise from Underwater Menace. His cloak from Tomb! A variation of clothes for Salamander, and an extra head with his bandage from the punch up in the console room. And a spare head for Androgum Troughton, complete with top hat. The 500 year diary. Recorder. Sonic screwdriver. Time vector generator. Time Lord message cube in disassembled and assembled model form. Yeti control sphere. Statenheim Remote Control. A catapult, a bag of sweets and I think a ball of string in his pockets in 5 Doctors, so need those too. Maybe even the plate and partly eaten sandwich from Web? There's apparently a line of dioramas coming, too: www.bigchiefstudios.co.uk/store/doctor-who/sixth-scale-figure-dioramas/11th-doctor-tardisLoads of potential for recreations of iconic sets and scenes from the Missing Eps. Mortgage optional!

I'd have preferred a figure that actually looked like the person it was meant to be. There are some extremely talented sculptors out there, capable of making incredible likenesses - they should really have employed one of them.

I know what you mean Rob, but I guess we can take the rough with the smooth. The bloke on the Target novel cover of The Power of Kroll and the bewildered looking photo of Tom on the Dapol box of his Doctor's figurine spring to mind!

For the amount they'll be asking, I'd expect much better than that. Dapol sculpts were crap, but at least they were cheap.

I guess unlike the Tennant and Smith ones, it's harder to source sufficient imagery of Hartnell to get a really good likeness. Still, that the company is willing to offer something for the fans of the earliest days of Doctor Who in their 1:6 scale line is a good thing, as I'd expect at first blush it might seem a harder sell compared to focussing purely on New Series likenesses. Who knows, maybe they'll knock out a new and improved sculpt, it seems like they do extra heads with their other figurines?

The 1970s Denys Fisher 4th Doctor figure comes to mind when mentioning bad sculpting. Though some fans seem to believe it was a cheap way to reuse Mike Gambit heads from the New Avengers Range, even if it looks even less like Gareth Hunt than Tom Baker.

I can just about forgive them that, for budgetary reasons and the fact that both Hunt and Baker had brown curly hair (and the face is sufficiently unlike either of them to cause confusion). However, the Cyberman's nose is inexcusable!
