Were these repeated in the 70s? seem to vaguely recall a few Fugitive eps here and there 1971?

I don't recall The Fugitive being rerun in the 70's (well not in my area anyway)
ITV in my area screened all 120 episodes in the mid 80's (in the early hours)
The only other TV rerun I can recall was in the mid to late 90's (I think) when BBC Two repeated a number of b/w episodes from 1963-65 (around the time of the Harrison Ford movie version)
- curiously BBC Two never bothered with any colour episodes of season four
ITV screened 'The Invaders' in the early seventies as a 'new' show on saturdays at around 5pm (but with episodes in a random order), while in the mid 80's BBC Two screened all bar four episodes at 6pm on (I think) Thursday evenings - they omitted 'The Prophet', 'The Captive', & the two parter 'Summit Meeting'

Yes i can back you up on the Invaders Patrick because i recorded them from bbc 2 in the mid 80s and for some strange and annoying reason they didn't show those very episodes you say , i always remember not quite getting the complete run , now of course there all out on dvd.

ITV did (wrongly) begin with 'The Witch' (1963) but then screened 'Fear in A Desert City' (the first episode - which begins with Kimble already some six months on the run & just a couple of cameos by Lt. Phil Gerard) a few episodes into their run....
it's not until around episode 13 (I think) that the episode; 'The Girl From Little Eygpt' shows us the events of the night - 17 or 19 September 1961 depending on what later episodes you go by - Helen Kimble was murdered (which along with Kimble's Trial are shown as a series of flashbacks)
so The Fugitive never began with the murder itself just Kimble getting off a bus some six months after the train wreck & his escape.
As Barry Morse once pointed out they wrongly used footage of a FRENCH train for the crash sequence shown in the first season opening too....!
The Fugitive had great narration by William 'Frank Cannon' Conrad - who earlier was the Radio series voice of Marshall Matt Dillon in 'Gunsmoke' pre-TV version
I recorded all the episodes ITV screened and it was the full 120 episodes, tho' a few colour ones (like 'The Sharp Edge of Chivalry' 1966) were in very bad condition, full of defects & bad edits etc
the later Tim Daly TV version was not as good as David Janssen's classic series of course, but was quite good with some interesting variations plus good updates - like The Police getting a printout of Kimble's face in their car etc....shame it got axed after only 20 episodes - a few silly ones too - and it had a really unsatisfying rushed looking ending !

ITV screened 'The Invaders' in the early seventies as a 'new' show on saturdays at around 5pm It had already been screened as a new show back in the '60s though, soon after it was produced (so the '70s screenings would have been repeats). ATV screened it here in the London area, where I saw it.

my ITV area began with saturday screenings so maybe London had it first in the late 60's, which was common back then
London got season three of 'The Name of The Game' - a major fav show of mine that we only had the first and second seasons of in my region - I hoped it would be out on DVD but the recent first season release has been delayed - hopefully not cancelled !

It was definitely 1967 when I saw it. Transmitted by ATV London here but I assume some other regions would have screened it too.
EDIT: Yes, I just checked a London TV Times for May 1967 where the seventh episode "Nightmare" was being transmitted. So it must have begun transmissions about the end of March (two months or so after US screenings began).
I remember The Name Of The Game too (although that was a bit later), which I associate with the early years of Thames.

Not sure about originally but the late night/early hours of the morning ITV transmissions of 'The Fugitive' were around 1986 if I remember correctly
a VHS 'Fugitive' tape of; 'Fear in a Desert City' / 'Decision in The Ring' was released just after that too.
if anyone's interested the entire 120 episodes four seasons of 'The Fugitive' is out as a DVD box set in Region 2 format, with English soundtrack in Germany as 'Auf Der Flucht' ('On The Run') from CBS/Paramount which is a bit expensive but can be obtained from Amazon.de the German branch of Amazon.
