Great ITV drama about Cilla Black concluded last night, anyone see it? It finished with a recreation of her first show (presenting) for the BBC (also entitled "Cilla"?). It made me wonder what exists from this series? First edition presumably does as the makers of the drama clearly worked from it - and the clip of the opening titles/Cilla's opening song turns up in documentaries occasionally. Can't find it on Lost Shows so thought I'd ask!
Thanks

Rob,Lost Shows get overwhelmed sometimes, showing "too many results to list". It might be worth checking 'Cila' by searching for regular co-stars.
Added: Drat.'The Breakaways' produces "too many results..."!

Really enjoyed Sheridan Smiths performance in this... Dare I say, I thought she was a better singer than The real Cilla?! Anyway, seeing this show reminded me of a very early memory of one of Cillas BBC shows. They hid a camera in a Tv Shop near the BBC somewhere, and had the Cilla Show playing in colour in the front window. People gathered round the shop to watch it, as colour was still a novelty and then Cilla surprised them by speaking to them from the tv, and a bemused couple were whisked off to the studio to meet her. I'm guessing this must of been 1969? Needless to say we would only have seen it in black and white. Wonder if it still exists?

I agree Sheridan Smith was outstanding and deserves and award as do the producers for creating 60's Liverpool. I could tell that Sheridan was trying to match the arm movements exactly as it was a little stiff on the recreated introduction. I'm not a great fan of Cilla and too young to remember the 60's. Everyone I have heard said she sang as good as if not better than Cilla.

Did anyone else notice in episode 3, that as Cilla exited Granada after her performance in 1964, that the Granada logo on the walls and doors was the "G" one from 1969? Of course, it should have been the earlier arrow version of "from the North". Whoops!
