I remember watching this one originally. Good to see a lot of BBC programmes are suddenly coming to DVD now!

Yes. I'm guessing that something must have changed in comparatively recent times with regard to the situation with BBC copyright material. Aside from the BFI's BBC SF sets, series such as Z-Cars, Softly Softly, Not In Front Of The Children and others have been creeping out in the last year or two. Suddenly it seems viable to release these sorts of things!

Hopefully the BBC have realised that a smaller percentage of lots of pots is better than a higher percentage of next to no pots at all.

It gets too technical for me at times,but some people are not v. happy with Simply's mastering-or not-some of their TV releases.

Yes, I've passed on a few things of theirs initially due to cock-ups with the encoding / material being filmised in error. At least until it has been sorted out. It seems to happen quite a bit with Simply though - probably because the people who prepare the material are so used to viewing on computers (rather than TV sets) that they can't tell there's anything wrong from the look of it!!
