I used to love it on old TV shows when some poor woman would be told "One payment, and I'll hand over the negatives".He's right,of course, that the original videotapes are wiped.

Q2 - his answer was very intriguing. Evasive, but intriguing. This guy is a modern Riddler is he not ! He does give vague answers. He would not of said certain things if there was zilch in the cupboard as to speak ! I think it's more like someone else's cupboard, and he still has hoops to jump through before he can secure the key to said cupboard...

I just hope that many of us are still alive when this saga is done !

I find the two references he made to audition prints the most fascinating..
This quote should strike a chord on why speculation isn't always harmless fun, "...during the last announcement I was in a very hostile part of the world and suddenly I was everywere on tv my anonymity was compromised. Which made the team a target .So we must plan these things carefully for the greater good of the project and the safety of the personel involved ."

So buy that we can assume that until this part of the world, Or several parts of the world are completed we have to be very careful to keep these guys safe ! If it were not for this guy i guess no one else would bother !

His remarks maybe vague but I think that it's safe to say that more episodes will be returning.

His remarks maybe vague but I think that it's safe to say that more episodes will be returning. Hmm, you have to wonder why he didn't just say no to Q2 if he hasn't found anything. Almost like he wants to tell us but can't. If he *really* hadn't found anything, then why say anything else other than no? My personal theory is he's found evidence/locations but not the actual cans themselves, so he knows there's some out there to collect but can't say yes to having found any yet. Can we get Jeremy Paxman to interview him now he's a free agent?

I agree with everyone about the negotiations. It can be a long time between discovering that the episodes exist, the actual procurement of them, the double-checking of their actual existence and condition, the restoration of the episodes, and then the actual announcement of the find. Depending on the conditions, this can take quite a while.

Hmm, you have to wonder why he didn't just say no to Q2 if he hasn't found anything. Almost like he wants to tell us but can't. If he *really* hadn't found anything, then why say anything else other than no? Look at it this way. If he is currently following a promising lead, he can't let us know too much about it until he secures a definite recovery. This is obvious. Amateurs might try to help, and their interference might derail negotiations. Or the trail might lead nowhere. But if he has nothing, then he has to be equally obscure in his answers. Suppose he directly says 'we got nothing' for several months, then finds a promising lead, and his answers become evasive. That is as good as saying that he has something, with all the dangers thereof. For that reason, he must be equally evasive, whether he's got something or not.

It's nice to hear from him. The man certaintly knows what he is doing. I certaintly wouldn't be searching in Syria or Nigeria like he was doing. I am now more then ever hopefull that more missing episodes of Doctor Who will make their way back to us. Where was he thirty six years ago?!

Morris also went on Twitter and had this to say: Something's clearly ruffled his feathers lately! I am not surprised considering the misconceptions about him that were aired around earlier this year. He has done a good job maintaining his dignity. But that is all I am going to say about that.

Depending on the conditions, this can take quite a while. This is the only bit of the process I don't really understand - why the announcement is only ever after all stages are complete. I've never understood why the finds can't be announced immediately after the prints are back in the UK - before any restoration takes place. Fans know that the restoration takes time, and won't expect them to be immediately available.

Can we get Jeremy Paxman to interview him now he's a free agent? I don't think he is a free agent yet. I was there in the group for the chat, and the mods made it clear there may be some delay on some of the answers due to the location he was in not having adequate internet connection. I suspect there's a quite deliberate plan to break cover now, and in this way. Probably to shut up a lot of the speculation and let him go about those more dangerous parts of the world in a little more safety than he's probably been able to for the last year or so...

I am very appreciative of what pm has done and is doing.
While I'm not sure about the reason for this conference, and I don't understand what the truth is in sl and other things, I'm still open to not knowing everything and giving the experts the opportunity to do what is best. Time will tell all but I don't think we should be expecting transparency until the time is right.

If only there'd been a delay so that he was answering question 2 instead of 3,etc. (Yes,it's a 'Two Ronnies' sketch).
