Gary - yes, some were sourced from off-air tapes and transcription services. As you'll know, the BBC archives are far from being complete. Everything has been remastered for the new release. There were other off-air tracks that we found, beyond those on the 3-CD set, which we left off as the quality was too poor. If anyone has any Bolan BBC sessions in their lofts, send them my way! Thanks. so is the new boxset not the complete BBC recordings? how much more is there out there or missing thats not included? saddly i lost one of my disks on the day i got this release

Thanks alot for the info. Beat club should do a DVD series with all the unsued footage as a bonus.

would that be 'Baby Strange'?? If not, then I've not heard of that song. of course . The person who named the tracked got it wrong and i didnt realise. so is this song circulating in good quality? is it on any official releases?

I have just got ahold of T.rex performing Dubby Strange. Does this exist in collectors hands? also does anyone know the real date plus other songs performed?

i have the complete episode of that beatles clip. Its rather fun, They get interviewed along side Ken Dodd who is always a laugh

it hasnt been recovered, they've had it this all the time, Oh really. Thats wierd. i take it the BBC archives of Top Of the Pops is a load of crap then. I hope one day they can do it properly and make sure to list all they have in the archive

Our we sure that this has been recovered? there has been no news from the BBC. So i have my doubts. if this is amazing and i would love to see a dvd set of all surviving 1960s Top of The Pops episodes

Hey
has anyone watched this Sky Channel before. Its 270 or 271 on my box and it shows purely archive music.
Today they showed a Blondie Concert from 79 in perfect quality which i believe was part of the Old Grey Whilstle Test. They also Showed Old Grey Whistle Tests episodes aswell. Its a very good channel for fans of live music from the past decades

Your Welcome. And to the others the Whole set i have is excellent quality but was recorded in Long Play Mode so there is some wierd transistion problems (well not a problem to watch). Is there complete Top Of The Pops episodes avaliable in DVD quality?
