Only one I can think of was the research in New Zealand about Macra Terror. That interested me, but its a difficult research as it relies on memories. I hope it's going well.

It will probably be deleted BUT... Harold Holt. Marco Polo. Chinese Submarine. Sock drawer. That's all I'm allowed to say. ;-)

I'm curious about the sock drawer. I made a joke about Mission to the Unknown being in my sock drawer a couple of years ago and it keeps popping back up. Or was there some other beginning and did I just mention it coincidentally...?

The sock drawer is larger than life now. It holds most of season 4 as well. Darn it!

Having something designated as a 'sock drawer' implies the ownership of more than one pair of socks. How the other half lives!

"A dingo stole my telerecording" Australians still imitate that awful approximation of the Aussie drawl by Streep in Evil Angels / A Cry in the Dark.

I'm thinking that the omni rumor has eclipsed everything.
While we all hope pm brings some more goodies, it doesnt mean we should not keep looking

I'm just wondering what it would have been like if the BBC sold DOCTOR WHO in AMERICA in the early 60's. Would we have more copies of those episodes.

I'm doing some research on television programs in the early 1970s that aired in Boston. As I go through the microfilms (in the NYPL), I'm surprised at what crept in from overseas: Marine Boy (one of the early Japanese anime), for instance. The Avengers (but only the later seasons, I believe), as well. When I get to Dr. Who's first appearance, I will, of course, take a careful look at the listings.
And wasn't there someone who reported someone in NZ who had loads of films but no projector? Did anyone ever hear back on that?

I'm just wondering what it would have been like if the BBC sold DOCTOR WHO in AMERICA in the early 60's. Would we have more copies of those episodes. It would have been another place to look But there are a lot of variables. For example, the early colour pertwees were shown in the usa, but many are missing. That being said the colour pertwees were video. If they were shown on film then it could have helped, but since the bbc has this destruction clause, it's probable they could have been efficient like Austrailia.

Speaking as an American. Had there been color Pertwee films, a fan would have connived some way to make it happen.
