Reading the thread about Eclection, I remember an episode of Take Three Girls in 1968 /1969 (if memory serves) in which Robert Wyatt appeared as - surprise, surprise - a drummer of an avant-garde jazz combo. What's the situation with this series, do all episodes still exist? I recall Channel Four's "TV Heaven" a few decades ago which showed the intro to the show.

I remember NOT being allowed to stay up to watch this ... even as a child, decent TV enthralled me and this looked interesting. Needless to say, my parents had other ideas

A few episodes do still exist - I got a chance to watch them a few years back - but not the Wyatt one sadly (or perhaps not so sadly, although a big Soft Machine fan at the time I remember it was excrutiating, almost as bad as that play for today thing Roy Harper was in.)
what I do remember about the series is that there was some great Pentangle incidental music running all the way through most episodes and not just the Night Flyte theme tune.

After reading this thread I went on Youtube and downloaded an episode of this programme, which I remember watching as a 13-14 year old. A good example of 'don't go back' - it was truly dreadful, horribly dated and I could hardly bring myself to finish the episode. Sad, really.
If anyone's interested, it was the episode called "The Private Sector"........
