Levine hasn't exactly stated what he knows. He has simply said he has known for 3 years? He has also cited an email containing a list of episodes recovered from years ago. He's claimed that he, and others, "knew" that EotW and WoF had been found/recovered several years before they were released, i.e., 2011. He has, however, failed to produce anything to substantiate that or any evidence that he was aware that WoF3 wasn't included. The latter piece of information doesn't seem to have "leaked" until very shortly before the official announcement. Anybody party to "inside" information would, surely have been unaware of that. Philip Morris' wife has also taken issue with his claim to have helped PM with "documentation" some years ago. From what we've previously learnt from Dick Fiddy it seems that he was provided with letters of accreditation from the BBC and BFI to give him credibility when trying to recover British TV. I'm open to correction but I can't see what sort of "documentation" IL could provide that would help. I see a lot of it as frustration. In the absence of due cause and sufficient proof, I'd go further and call it bullying. Online or off, that's no laughing matter. And, bullying of a kind that casts fandom in general in a bad light, and that actively gets in the way of the people and agencies (yes, that includes the Beeb) doing the work he claims to want. Steve Roberts made a sensible, hopeful, measured and personal public musing. The other feller, who has worked in media, and rescued many eps, has consistently not done so. Now, he's getting personal. The great Originator. And his wild accusations have commercial consequences, as he must surely appreciate. I feel for Phil, TIEA and the Beeb. You respond to this, you get more of it. You do nothing, you appear to give it approval. Still, British libel law being what it is I really hope this unfortunate mess stops very soon before it gets even more unseemly.

Seconded. Basil Brush, please, even if it's just a download I'll have to get my brother to do for me. Ah, a kindred spirit I'm not sure why I liked, and still fondly remember, a glove puppet of a fox but he was just so outrageous and irreverent Boom ! Boom ! Same here, John and Sue! Ah the memories! "Dirty Gertie, from number 30!"

Same here, John and Sue! Ah the memories! "Dirty Gertie, from number 30!" Ahem.Might be worth your while considering Britain's libel laws,Paul! I used to have a Basil Brush annual somewhere. I remember a long story about him having a hippy band round and he asked one if they wanted a cup of tea and the guy said "cool" so he put it in the fridge! (I thought that was a bit odd though - I expected Basil to be a bit more "hip" than that.) Yeah, I would love to see it too. I also have many happy memories of that cheeky fox.

Ian's just posted a link to a comment by Simon Cowell to IL,from 1986 which makes the last 24-hours worth of tweets seem quite polite in comparison.

Time lash was a bit "stupidity", the Bandril Ambassador would have looked so much better i they let the people behind "Terrahawks" do the FX. But no we had to have a cheezy video effect for him. . .

Puppets? Like the Skarasen?
Also, we need to remember this: Doctor Who is probably NOT the highest priority for the BBC to release. Which do you think would make more money for the BBC : The Beatles on TOTP or "The Evil of the Daleks"? It's not even close.

Doctor Who has the largest following worldwide and $/£ to be made - the Beatles stuff will be shared and not make as much!

Wonder how many fans of those Mop Tops bought The Chase, who wouldn't have otherwise, just because of the clip from TOTP at the start of The Executioners?

I'm sure PM dips in and out of the various Doctor Who blogs, web pages and comment including these pages because he is a proper fan and his heart is in the right place (as far as I'm concerned).
I hope he takes at least a teeny bit of encouragement from the thanks and appreciation posted herein so I'd suggest thinking and posting positively on these pages is a powerful antidote to the negativity and bile elsewhere. It may even come to Phil's attention.
I hope all the RT Guys draw some solace from this too.

Someone, please answer this for me: What, EXACTLY, is the basis for Ian Levine's absolute certainty the Paul Morris has episodes? I'm not trying to feed the Omnirumour, but I cannot, for the life of me, recall how all this got started. Is it JUST the shipping label? Levine seems 100% certain, but I cannot recall a single detail that would back up that certainty. Many thanks. Nobody really knows because the second Ian Levine says what it is the cat is out of the bag and it ruins everything. That's inevitably going to be the problem, if you had absolute proof that Phillip Morris was hoarding episodes, what would you do? Would you go and splash it out across the internet? The only problem is when other people (like Mrs Morris for example) start to get involved the whole thing becomes messy. He's said he has evidence, he won't make it public out of common decency for a fellow episode hunter, there is more on the way and he would like it fairly shortly. Every time somebody mentions it in any way shape or form, calls him a liar or whatever, you just wind him up and he goes off on a big rant, leave him alone and everyone will get on just fine.
