It's fantastic that we have people who contribute to these pages and provide that legwork and a not inconsidearable amount of their time and money so that I can watch their results on my DVD player. I'm still staggered that sitting here on my desk is a WOF DVD - WOW !!!!!! All the detective work and informed analysis I keep reading hereabouts also plays a big role in that. Thanks Guys and keep up the good work.

I always find it such a shame when things like this get ignored or deemed "unimportant". At the end of the day, these are copies of the episodes made around the time and unaccounted for. Everything is important (provided it wasn't made after 1978 that is) and every copy we can track down is one less floating out there to be debated on years from now.

The more duplicates 'we' find, the more 'we' may yet discover. P.S. Haven't quite got the hang of this quote thing yet!

I hope one day we'll have a proper answer to the question "Did the ABC have duplicate episodes?" Maybe this is the evidence at last?

So Damian is the person/one of the people who discovered the censor's clips? And he's a sports god? Or is that someone else?

I hope one day we'll have a proper answer to the question "Did the ABC have duplicate episodes?" Maybe this is the evidence at last? I think that most, if not all, of the transmission dates are known as are the dates of the introduction of microwave links. It's really just a question of processing the data and remembering that "Everything yields to logistics"

The argument is that they were too expensive to use. Hard to comprehend from a Canadian perspective, where microwave links were constructed and used from the start with the introduction of televison. There's no reason in Canada not to think that Quatermass 1 went out using microwave in 1953.

Well Canada being close to the USA had a quick accesses to modern technology as TV was far advanced south of the border. Not sure what the proximity of the USA had to do with it. Wasn't the microwave technology that was used in Canada in the 1950s developed in Canada? I remember it was Canada who was marketing similar microwave technology in the developing world in the early 1980s.

Point being Canada being a British Commonwealth adopted the NTSC format instead of the Britsh PAL format. Same with Bermuda. Made it simpler to import equipment from the USA instread of all the way from the U.K.

No,he's actually a Dentist by trade.Damian was originally interviewed in the Missing Years documentary in the 1997 Ice Warriors collection box set ( the documentary revised and up-dated on the Lost In Time DVD release ).During his interview, his love for the '60s era of the show clearly shines through.A great set of finds ( at the time ),and a great archivist.
