Just released is a CD 'Live' album tho' taken direct from the BBC Televised 'Hollies in Concert' - recorded February 1969 at Golders Green Hippodrome & originally screened by BBC in May 1969.
Originally filmed in colour (which seems to now be now 'lost' per an article in 'Record Collector' magazine a while back ) BBC Four digital channel screened a surviving b/w 'telerecording' (I believe) a few years back
It is interesting in that it was recorded when Terry Sylvester had just replaced Graham Nash in the band, and in addition to some live versions of older hits a non EMI song; 'Maybe I'll Settle Down' (listed on the new CD as just; 'Settle Down') featuring Allan Clarke, Tony Hicks, & Terry Sylvester singing a lead vocal in turn on each verse is included.
All eleven songs (including a 'hits' medley of four songs) that were performed in the Televised concert are included on the CD which has been taken direct from the TV soundtrack in mono but it has a decent clear sound, the latter four tracks feature a studio orchestra accompanying the group.
This interesting late sixties pop artefact, from a chapter of The Hollies long history that is rarely heard by way of live recordings, is on the 'Immortal' label (IMA 105024) and the cover included b/w photos from the show plus the same cover photo as on the 'Hollies Greatest Volume Two' LP of 1972.
I picked up a copy from Amazon UK at just over seven pounds including UK postage.
