This is claimed to be from a UK show, but have no clue whatsoever what it might be. Any guesses?

I haven't got an earthly - and I can't have the sound up in the Library.
What's the song? That would give me some reference point for the year as a start.
It doesn't look British to me, though, first thought.

This might come from It's Lulu 29.08.1970 Esther Ofarim
Or
if the year date is correct (which I doubt)then it might be Petula Sunday 4.08.1968 Esther Ofarim
Colour broadcasting on BBC One didn't arrive until late 1969
Or
ESTHER OFARIM SPECIAL Esther OFARIM sings some of the songs that are her particular favourites 03.05 1971 which DOES survive

I agree with that, but it certainly wouldn't be from her native Israel, as they didn't have color until 1977, and this is obviously dating from before Australia had color as well. She was still with Abi until 1970, although did appear by herself on This Is Tom Jones in 1969. I wouldn't peg this clip as 1968, I would say 69 or 70. I suspect it might be one of those bizarre French shows whose clips ahve been cropping up lately on youtube.

I feel like I've seen this clip before - the backdrop is ringing bells - but I can't remember where. There's a fair amount of French colour material from 1968...

My guess is German or French TV, she looks the same in this clip from Hits A Gogo in 1969 singing another Beatles track 'She's Leaving Home'. link

No, this video of yesterday is from the "Hippie Happy yeah" show from 1968. It has been repeated later under the name "Remember", both shows were broadcasted on German tv station ARD. If you have any further questions about Esther Ofarim, just ask, I am the owner of her website.
Hi. Please post under a full real name, as per forum rules. Thanks - Laurence

Thanks for that information - I've not watched many episodes of the oldies clip show Damals War's but I think it's possible that this turned up on one of the few that I have.

All I can find about it is that Harry Belafonte was a guest there and I have got some friends, who have got a recording of that show and there for sure is no Esther! But I really would like to know from which source you have this information gotten from? Because I now have spend much time to search about that in the internet and I really cannot find a single word about Esther being on a Petula Clark show. best regards Conny
