What is the collective noun for missing episodes fans? A recovery, perhaps? In any case, I just wanted to wish my fellow board members a wonderful New Year, whatever time zone they're in! I've only been here a relatively short while, but have much enjoyed the atmosphere and fun that prevails in this place. Learned folk give of their knowledge and experience freely to ordinary folk like me, many interesting posts are readily available to peruse and ponder, and good humour is in abundance. Thanks to this forum and those who post here, I understood more than I did last year about the hunt for missing episodes, and the challenges and opportunities inherent for those who pursue that noble calling. Given the entry price - be nice and tell us your name - that's a pretty decent bargain! I hope to build on that understanding in 2014, and look forward to continuing with the friendships and acquaintances I've made here to date. Long may our forum continue to uphold the best traditions of reasonable fandom, long after the very last episode has been returned and viewed by everyone who wishes they could do so!

That collective noun is a "container". Personally, I would've called it a 'rumour'! Happy new year to you all, let us bring in new discoveries together.

If it was a collective term for fans of Rediffusion programmes, it would be a "skip" (a piece of sad but black humour)!
