An old friend of mine has kindly returned my reel to reel collection some 20 years after I foolishly gave it away. I obviously will need to confirm what's still there and that it is still OK but as far as I know there are such goodies as Alan Freeman Pick of the Pops from 67 and 72, a Tom Browne from 77, a couple of Paul Jones Blues Night from 85 and 87 - maybe more, and a 67 TOTP audio off the TV with Wind Cries Mary and if it is still there, a Beatles recording with Paul announcing Yesterday as their latest single, (any idea anyone? sounds like a radio recording of a concert). Also there appears to be some Third programme / Radio 3 concerts recorded by my father, mainly Mozart. Sadly, after being fobbed off about 10 years ago by the BBC Treasure Hunt's total lack of interest, I sold the collection of Charles Stidwall and other Home Service / Radio 4 children's programs that my father recorded, without realising that other organisations / people might have been interested, ah well you can't win em all. Once I have catalogued what's still there, I will post the details to see what's of interest.
