Merry Christmas! I spy with my little eye, something green and not seen since the Hartnell era:

It's one of the new photographs released today from the Christmas special. Jac Rayner will love it!

My favorite twitter response has to be the guy that says 'If you look close enough, you can see a Refusian as well' (not exact words, but the jist of it)

What is it about Doctor Who and one-eyed monsters?

It's a sign! They have recovered The Ark!
Or they have recovered the previous story which was the Massacre they recovered the entire Hartnell collection bar Feast of Stephen which turned up back stage in a puppet show!
Stephan Moffat wants to put in these little snippets to see if people would realise the truth for what it is!
Sanity speaking now.
It's quite nice that they do little nods to the old series. I like that episode a couple of years back that featured the Macra.

Merry Christmas! I spy with my little eye, something green and not seen since the Hartnell era: I guess I should have put my earlier post about this in a separate thread instead of TDOTD one, and been less obscure in the reference. Still, good to see others noticed the Monoid puppet and found it interesting! Wonder if it'll lead to other 60s merchandise? Trailer's up, couldn't see any Monoids though! www.youtube.com/watch?v=njNnTDiLOd4

Wait!...I'm miffed! Why no Toymaker puppet. In fact, bring the Toymaker back next season. Think of the hide and seek games SM could put into the show. Lose this game and a dalek comes to life. Lose that game and unleash a couple cybermen. Win this game and the lost episode clip on the monitor will be on iTunes next month! Think of the endless games and doll merchandising oppotunities. Think of.. Terribly sorry-spaced on you all a bit. Carry on!... lol I'm still waiting for a set recreating the toys Borusa had for The Five Doctors. No sign of it, 30 years on! A pity really - it'd make a neat board game with interactive media element. Well, maybe the 60th - even if we only wind up with Rassilon's Harp Hero instead!

Well, maybe the 60th - even if we only wind up with Rassilon's Harp Hero instead! Yes, but I remember that there were some white metal (kits?) available many years ago. I don't know how many the range included but it's possible that something similar was made in that series. As for the board, you know very well that The Death Zone IS forbidden! lol I agree though, it was a marketing miss on someone's part. The Fine Art Castings line is perhaps the one you mean? More likely than the FASA minatures, I guess. But The Five Doctors set I'd have in mind would be a little less labour intensive! Well, maybe that's the next re-release, the interactive board game edition? Aside from an edible or supermarionation version, I can't see too many possibilities for remixes left!
