Is there a comprehensive online list of recovered episodes, i.e. those that were once missing and have been rediscovered? I want to know the stories behind the recovery. It should include the colour copies of B/W Pertwee. Also, how various clips survived.

Erm, I see info there about still missing episodes. I can't see any list of recovered ones.

The detail is certainly there. Though for someone new to this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_missing_episodes#Recovered_episodes may be a simpler starting point, where the 50 episodes recovered since 1978 (but including one 1978 episode recoverer from Australia and eight 1978 episodes recovered from the BFI) and where they were found are clearly tabulated.

Although the entry for web and enemy says they were discovered on 10th october 2013 when that obviously isnt true. It was announced then.

Just wanted to say thanks to those that use my site. Before Enemy and Web were found I was sitting on around 15,000 hits. Today it's at roughly 53,000.

Although the entry for web and enemy says they were discovered on 10th october 2013 when that obviously isnt true. It was announced then. Wikipedia has a policy of only allowing information that can be reliably sourced. There is no official date as to when the episodes were 'recovered' so the date they were announced is the only substitute. It will also depend on your definition of recovery of course. It's not unreasonable to say it's only recovered when it has been announced and it is a definition that can be more easily sourced.

We do know that the reels of film were definitely in the UK by late April.

Who else got excited thinking this thread was by that other Morris chap finally coming clean with a list of what he found? Just me then? Oh well, looks like we'll have to wait a lot longer for THAT list.
