What do you think the chances are of the BBC animating WOF episode 3 for DVD release? I just bought it on itunes, but if they animated the missing one, I most certainly would buy it again. Future animations are up in the air after Moonbase (though a DVD for Underwater Menace has been hinted). I suspect it will happen but we won't see it until late next year at the earliest.

Huge thank you to all in the recovery. I'm not gonna preten I know all of you, but I needed to say thanks from Minnesota, USA. My wife let me purchase Enemy, said only one. So I took all her charmed DVDs and said you get them back in 45 years. I just finished downloading Web:) Also, I noticed at the bottom of the download it says Aug,1 2013....wonder if that's when the resteration took place? One last note...not sure what Mr. Levene's tweet the other day meant about "having" to buy these for more episodes. I'm assuming its to maybe help fund the Africa search for more? I hope so. Well, one more last thing...if there was a find in the future of Evil or Power, how easy is the Terry Nation estate to work with, if they even need to be on board for a release at all? Much thanks He seems to think Morris or someone is hoarding episodes. I don't know about that.

Ive had a daft grin on my face since last evening. I havent been able to read a great deal or see much yet as the web has gone mad in the last few hours so Ill try to catch up later. But its just wonderfull news. Im also a little curious as what Ian Levene meant with his comments, and Im assuming there may be more good news in November, whatever it is or isnt, this news today has made me very happy. Thanks to all involved.

I'd be very surprised if that's not the reason for Web Of Fear not being released on DVD until next February. Correction: On second thought it will probably come out later as a special edition so that they can double dip, or triple dip if you count the iTunes release, but I'm not complaining. I'm happy for the BBC (or whoever) to be compensated just so we can watch these two great stories again.

Thank you to Philip Morris (and others involved) for sterling work here in bringing these episodes back. I have had a passive interest in the missing episodes cause (Dr. Who & other shows) for many years. I remember 'The Five Faces of Doctor Who' in 1981 and the issue was being highlighted as long ago as that. I have subsequently bought some (not all) recovered Doctor Who on DVD, I am also likely to buy the two current stories now recovered. There is no doubt about the fanaticism of dedicated Doctor Who fans. I feel guilty for being comparatively passive lol. Reading the threads in the run up to the announcement, I felt that some people were over-estimating what might be found, and were heading for disappointment. Personally I think that the finds are two great stories from what was a very exciting time in TV/popular culture in general. I am very happy and hope that everyone else is. Thank you again to those involved.

I am (yet another) long-time lurker, first-time poster, who registered here specifically to offer up my own thanks on this find. I look forward to reading more details whenever the next issue of DWM makes it to Canada, and (despite the fact that Doctor Who is my main area of interest when it comes to missing episodes) I'm also curious to know if lost episodes of other series were included in this Nigeria find. Whether or not there are more recovered episodes to come, I am a happy camper tonight!

Nice of Phil to end with "Hope our paths cross again soon". Quite likely, since I intend to spend much of the rainy season in Mombasa...

There were previews showing Anekke Wills against an animated 'Moon' background for The Moonbase documentary. Safe to say 1 & 3 are being animated. They've come this far and Web is coming out serval months after Enemy. I think it's quite clear what's going to happen...

Do I think he's hording episodes? No. Do I think he with working with the BBC on material that needs extensive work before reveling it - perhaps. I'd like to think he did find "Web of Fear" Episode #3 but it was beyond recovery or at least,it's requiring more work and will be announced for the DVD release in 2014.
